Flash 8: The Easter Egg

Flash 8 was released today and its trial has been made available.

What’s not obvious to most people is that along with this release came 6 hidden flash games within the application.

If you proceed to click Help -> About, you will see this pop up.

If you click on the dot on top of the i of Macromedia (might need a few clicks to get exactly on the pixel)…

…you will be greeted with this hidden screen.

Have fun with these games!

That is quite cool, I never really understand why they put easter eggs into programs though…

I think it’s cool that programs embed mini programs that I have to discover on my own. It brings more interest to the product I guess.

Oooh, that’s really cool. I love those little things that programmers hide into their programs, some of them are really hilarious too. Reminds me of the stuff the Disney animators hide in the backgrounds of their films. XD

Btw, I’ve migrated my ‘life as programmer’ blog to http://blog.enrii.com Feel free to have a look and update your blogroll. Thanks.

I’m not sure about the Mac. It’s probably Windows only.

There’s another one! (Credits) On the right side of the About window, just click on the exact middle of the big “8″, where the lines cross.
