I am never going back to iTunes again, for all the right reasons.
With ml_ipod, I no longer require iTunes to update my iPod. I can sync with my (currently) favourite mp3 player — Winamp!

I had to wipe the hard drive of the iPod clean and was hesitated to do so because re-transferring everything would take a long time, I thought. But it took a total of about 10 minutes to update 2500 songs! Maybe my experience with iTunes is tainted with unprecedented dislike of corporate abuse to consumers (e.g. the incredible lag of interface and memory hog of iTunes), but transferring songs has never been this fast!

I might have to check this out. I too am bothered by the lagginess of Itunes, and how I can’t run photoshop or any other major program with Itunes running.
Neat stuff, I will check it out over break.
That doesn’t look like your ipod :P
This is cool.. now I just need to get an iPod… <_<
[…] My friend’s reply to itunes laggage: use winamp, sucker! […]
I just saw this and thought you might be interested: http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details.php?id=138888&show=reviews
Apparently the latest version of winamp (if you’re using ml_ipod) will completely mess up your ipod.
Wow those are some serious complaints. Good thing I’ve been using 5.2 not 5.21 and everything works just fine :)
Will the new winamp work with Ipod photo?
Sync photos in window media player.
I never thought about that. I don’t think it will work, as I don’t see an option or button to transfer photos.
winamp worked for about 2 weeks, but all of a sudden it says i need to purchase winamp pro, why is’nt winamp basic not working anymore?
It should work indefinitely. You only need to purchase Pro if you want to rip CD’s.
