Cause and Effect

I’d like to think of every unity in this world as a function (much like a function in programming), as it requires input and gives output. The output of one thing will probably be received as input of another, which in turn gives output for others. The generalization that every action, whatever the function decides to do, is due to previous actions is cause and effect.

Recognizing a Song Quickly

Nothing philosophical or scientific, just something interesting I noticed recently. Any song I have on my computer and therefore have listened to many times, I can almost instantly recognize the song as soon as it’s played — within the first second. Whether it’s the unique sound of the snare drum or the sudden pluck of a string, I can distinguish it from the rest and correctly point out the song.

Feelings of Emotions

Based on my previous post about relativity, the feelings of emotions are based on relativity. Emotions are chemicals that the brain receives and interprets as feelings. Often when we say we feel happy, we are usually comparing the current mood bored or sad.

Relativity

There is no absolute — everything is relative. The relationship between each and every person/object is unique but fundamental to the persons/objects. Without others, one is nothing. Relationships construct the world as we know.

Underline in Links

Links (<a href="#">...</a>) in a page should definitely stand out from regular text. WordPress Tip: Uploading Obscure Files

Since version 2.0 of WordPress, it has stopped supporting custom file type uploading. This means only files with certain extensions can be uploaded, and there is currently no work-around. As frustrating as it may be, if you host your own WordPress script and have access to editting the scripts yourself, you are in luck.

Ideas Are Patterns

Every industry, profession or field of research is based on observations and results of previous experiments. If the expected outcome is a success, then this method of doing things is considered valuable to the field of study. It is then further studied and played around with. The point of this process is that every idea taught in school, read in a book, or derived from formulas is essentially a form of patterns of observations or derivations based on other patterns.

The Illusion Generator

Possibly the greatest illusion generator would be the human brain. A large part of the brain serves as a biological basis for consciousness and awareness. This consciousness is so complex (as scientists haven’t found out much about it yet) that it needs to organize incoming information. Illusion is defined to be the process of this organization.

Back and Loaded

My vacation in southern California ended abruptly, but I did get to visit Disneyland, Universal Studios, Sea World, Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon, and the Golden Bridge in just 6 days. Awesome trip and tons of pictures.

Now that I’m back, I’ve decided to shift the gears a little and move onto some bigger things. No no, I’m not leaving this site — I’m putting everything on it. I’ve been interested in “the bigger picture”, also known as philosophical sciences, and I will post something about it here (almost) every day. I’m studying a lot of physics and have wondered about the philosophical components of it. I hope in writing about it, I will discover the cause-and-effect relationships between things.
