Contact Form

I’m getting way too many “asdf” emails through my contact form. If you want to try out the Ajaxyness, please use this page instead. I will still get the email, but I won’t take it as seriously. :)

While I’m on this topic, you’ll notice that I added “CC this email to yourself” option to the new contact form. This is because I’ve extracted the form and php code from this site and used it independently. Since many people have asked me for the form, I might as well make it public.

Before I pack everything up and expect 28 bug reports a day, any requests or feature suggestions? So far it’s nothing more than a name, email, message form.

    Suggestions

    1) Once the email has been sent make all fields and submit button as ready only

    2) Integrate the validation into page rather than popups. perhaps something like http://blog.circlesixdesign.com/contactform/ with the icons on the side and flashing red on submit?

I had intended on doing something like 2) you mentioned. Expect that in the near future.

I also noticed a dramatic increase in the emails of the same message in my inbox. The obvious answer would be that the JS didn’t cleared the message textfields. Indeed I’ll do something about that.

    Thanks for the suggestions Dan.
