When to Eat Mooncakes
Mooncackes are good (the ones without egg yokes anyway), but unless you keep a Chinese lunar calendar, it is likely you will always be buying mooncackes when they are the most expensive — a week before it starts.
Technically speaking, the day you should eat it is on the day of the Mid-Autumn Festival, which is the 15th day of the 8th month of each lunar year. I know I certainly do not have a calendar that calculates when that is, so here is a list of Mid-Autumn Festival dates for the next 11 years.
Kanye West - Graduation
I cannot believe how long I had to wait in the “queue” to “acquire” this album. But that is about it for the bashing.
If the whole 50 Cent and Kanye face off was not just a marketing scheme, Kanye would have collected with this album. I think, this time for sure, his album matched his ego and the hype. First off, the production is definitely some of the best of his work. For the lyrics, I cannot really say I give a crap. I’m mostly here for the music, and Graduation has reached my expectations.
And if you just cannot get enough of that Stronger song, the album version has an extended outro that is just perfect. The album really does grow on you the more you listen to it.
A Quick Review of 50 Cent’s Curtis
It sucked so much that I do not want to write about it. If I was Curtis, I would quit right now.
IE Uses the Incorrect CSS Box Model
And so I’ve realized why my site has looked like crap in Internet Explorer for the past year. At some point over a year ago, I added this to the very top of all my template headers:

That voids the Doctype of the HTML document, which in turn is interpreted by IE as an excuse to manifest its incorrectly implemented box model, causing widths and heights to be wrongly displayed.
This article explains it in more detail, but mostly the workarounds for versions less than 6. So now you know. The next time paddings and heights are rendered incorrectly in IE, check to see if you have a Doctype at the beginning of your HTML.
What (Wacom Graphire4) Tablets are Also Good For
Other than the obvious drawing uses, it relaxes the shoulder. If you are working in front of a computer 8 hours a day and playing in front of your home computer for 5 more hours after work, you might consider a tablet to release some stress on that right shoulder of yours.

This site is now hosted on Slicehost, a VPS priced about the same as a decent shared hosting account. This page is being served on Litespeed server instead of Apache. Did you know that thing runs on 2MB of memory? You could run 300 instances of Litespeed as opposed to Adobe Photoshop with the same memory space requirements.
Changes, changes, changes. You never know — this Wordpress site might soon become Textpattern, or hell, even Flash.
